CONSULTATION

PLAN

IMPLEMENT SYSTEMS

ENJOY THE PEACE

I begin with a complimentary phone consultation and walkthrough of your space (FaceTime Optional). During this time we discuss your biggest challenges and your goals for the space.

After signing a client agreement, we get to work!

I prepare a project plan that includes an estimate of time to complete the project.

On project day we will focus on decluttering, categorizing, containing, and labeling to create the space of your dreams.

At the end of the project, I do a final walkthrough of your new organized spaces. I gather all the donations and leave you to enjoy.

FAQ's
  • Do I have to be present while you’re organizing?
At the beginning of the first session, I prefer a client to be present until I understand your wants for the space. After that first quick meeting, I often work projects while my clients are at work themselves or running errands.
  • Should I declutter before you begin organizing?
It’s your choice, but most clients have me do the decluttering. There is no need to “prepare” the space for our sessions. In fact, the worse it is, the better I can assess the real problem areas and formulate a plan to remedy them.
  • How long will it take to get my space organized?
I work quickly, but thoroughly. Every project is different and there’s always different variables to consider. I will give a time frame during the consultation. Each space is unique and the rate of organization often depends on how quickly a person can make decisions. I am here to keep you on task, but not to rush or pressure you into getting rid of anything.
  • What makes you different than other organizers?
I am here to bring an empathetic approach to your project. I never force you to make a decision you are not comfortable with. When you work with Peaceful Living you receive judgement-free, friendly, thoughtful coaching. I keep you focused on the task at hand to make sure no time is wasted. I understand you have unique needs and desires for your space and I work with you to achieve the perfect result for you.
  • How do I get started?
The very first thing you should do is stop blaming yourself or anyone else! I have never met a client who is not beating themselves up for their current situation. Guilt has a particularly paralyzing effect on progress. When you reach out, I will discuss your situation, how you got where you are, and where you would like to end up.
  • What does an Organizing Session look like?
Each session is usually between 3-6 hours increments to keep you on track to achieve your goals in the desired timeframe.
  • Do I have to throw my things away?
You will only toss something if it’s expired or you truly do not want it and it cannot be repurposed or donated.
  • Is our work together confidential?
Always. In our agreement, you will have the opportunity to sign off on pictures or to decline. Everything you share will be held in strictest confidentiality. If you are interested in sharing a testimonial, I will only post or speak of the information you choose to share with others.
  • Will you help me donate the things I choose to part with?
I will remove donations up to 1 carload per session and/or schedule donation pickup if needed.
  • Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. The cancellation policy is outlined in the agreement. Client agrees to let me know if they will not be able to make a scheduled appointment with a minimum of 48-hours advance notice. No refunds will be given for missed appointments.
  • Which spaces in my home do you organize?
I organize any space! The kid’s playroom, mudroom, closets, kitchen, pantry; even the garage!
  • When is Payment due?
Full payment is due prior to the session.
  • Do you shop for products for me?
Not all clients choose to bring new products into their homes, but should you want to makeover your space with jars, bins, and labels, I offer shopping at an extra cost. Alternatively, I can put together links for products at different price points that you can purchase on your own.
  • Do I have to buy new products to organize my spaces?
Not at all. We can also find ways to repurpose any existing containers.
  • What are some of the benefits of virtual organizing?
You have total control. I only what you want us to see and we work at your pace. You learn organizing skills. When you do the work you’ll learn skills you can apply in many areas of your life. We focus on one small project at a time. Sessions are brief, making them easy to implement into your day. If you can’t always have me in your home, virtual sessions are a great supplemental service to help you maintain momentum on projects. Your virtual organizer doesn’t have to be local. Working virtually means you won’t expose yourself to COVID or to illness if your immunity is low.
  • How do I know if virtual organizing is right for me?
If you are self-driven, and have the stamina but have difficulty finishing organizing projects. If you’re ok with working in short spurts and seeing steady progress over time. If you like challenging yourself to work on new skills. If you’re too embarrassed to have someone in your home virtual organizing can be a great solution because you are in control of what the organizer sees. If you have difficulty staying focused virtual organizing has many benefits. Sessions are brief, one-on-one, and only one project is completed at a time. If you have a small budget virtual organizing is an ideal solution to achieve your organizing goals. If you have several rooms that are unusable due to the amount of clutter you have virtual organizing may NOT be the best fit.
